Ohio’s nature offers some really great backdrops for blog photos, especially since we have a National Park fairly close to Cleveland. The other day we took a stroll down the Towpath at Boston Mills in Cuyahoga Valley National Park (#CVNP). The Towpath follows the path of the Erie Canal and follows along the Cuyahoga River. Today, there are 35 numbered locks from Akron to Cleveland, although there were many more functional locks in the 1800’s. If you’re intrigued, there is much more information available online about the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath.
It’s pretty interesting to see a picture of the Lock from it’s functioning days then viewing it present day.

If you’re ever touring CVNP, stop by Boston Mills along the Towpath, there is a Visitor Center and the Boston Store where you can take a pit stop for a snack or two. :d
